My Scary Girl, based on a South Korean film, is about the romance between a shy young English professor and a charming serial killer. The show was performed simultaneously at Korea’s Daegu International Musical Fesitval and at Barrington Stage in July 2008, before opening in Seoul in March 2009 for a five-month run. A touring version of the Korean production went on to win Best Musical at the 2009 New York Musical Festival.
